Stolen Bike - Can you help?

Women's Series participant Jacqui Hobson had her bike stolen from home last night  - details have been circulated around local clubs in case anyone sees or hears anything. Here's a picture of the bike (white specialized ruby bought at Mike's in Kenilworth, serial number STAV210D0188):
If you can help, please contact Jacqui through her Facebook page (or you can contact me).

Midlands Women’s TT Series 2013 Event 7: Shirley RC 10mTT

Trek Bicycle - CoventryThe final event in the 2013 Midlands women’s TT series was a 10mTT on the K36/10 in Hockley Heath, a change from last year’s course (the K1/10) due to roadworks. A breezy summer’s evening saw eight women line up for the event (one of whom, Sarah Coleman, is not in the series, but we hope she will be persuaded to take part next year!). The K36/10 has not previously been used in the women’s series and proved to be fairly hard going, at least for your author.

Midlands Women’s TT Series 2013 - Event 4: Team Echelon-ROTOR 10

Womens Series 2013 Event 4 RidersThe fourth event in the Midlands Women’s TT series was held on Thursday 27 June on the K33/10D course. A wet and windy evening, and traffic problems on the motorway meant a reduced field. 15 women took part, of whom 10 are participating in the Women’s TT series.

The battle for first, second and third was very close. Rosie Armitage of Team Echelon-ROTOR was the winner in 24:11, just 2 seconds ahead of Sue Smith (Stafford RC) in 24.13, and 11 seconds ahead of Liz Powell of Mike Vaughan Cycles in 24.22. The rest of the women’s field was a little more spread out than in previous races, possibly due to the weather conditions, which made some of the recorded times up to a minute slower than the times for the Janet Kelly Memorial 10 on the same course earlier this year. Moira Goodway of Banbury Star CC bucked this trend, recording a time that was 28 seconds quicker than her time at the Janet Kelly Memorial 10.

In the series rankings, Rosie Armitage remains in the overall lead (with two wins and a second place), with Helen Boatman (Team Milton Keynes) and Liz Powell also remain in second and third respectively. Annis Moore (Stafford RC) leads the most improved rider rankings, followed by Liz Powell and Alice Saltmarsh of Cult Racing. Your writer has slipped down the most improved category, having sat out the last two events, but hopes to rectify that this weekend! Helen Boatman retains the lead in the series rankings for vets on standard, with Sue Smith and Annis Moore also remaining in second and third respectively.

The men’s event was won by Richard Berriman of Leisure Lakes Bikes in 20.58.
