Welcome to the Midland District website

Here you will find everything you need to know about time trialling in the Midland District of Cycling Time Trials. Events organised by clubs from Banbury to Stafford, Malvern to Rugby, Birmingham and the surrounding areas are included, both informal club events (no pre-entry needed) and more formal 'opens'. Whether you want to find an event to ride, look up the route of a course or check on the results of one of the Midlands competitions, you should find everything here. Contact details for all the district officials are also given so if you're not sure about anything or think anything is missing, why not contact them? Also, please see our contributors page to find out who supplies information for this website.

Course correction VTTA/LVRC Time Trial April 18 2015

Please note that we have had to change the course for the VTTA/LVRC joint time trial on Saturday 18th April 2015.  This is due to major road works on a bridge over- running and instead of completing by the end of February the finishing date has now been put back to July.

Police Notifications to West Midlands

I've been informed that an organiser has had difficulties submitting Police Notification Forms to Lloyd House (West Midlands Police).  The department has been temporarily moved due to refurbishment and the remaining staff didn't know what to do with them!  The organiser put them right and has been assured that the forms will be passed to the correct department.

To avoid potential problems, organisers are advised to submit their PNF forms to Lloyd House well before the usual, 28-day deadline to make sure they have time to reach the right department.

Club events

The majority of club events have been approved and can be viewed using the following links:

Some events are still awaiting approval and organisers will be contacted about those by Steve Walker.  Most queries are to do with incorrect course codes - so if you have applied for club events and they have not been approved the first thing to do is check you have the correct course code.

Midlands Group VTTA Awards Lunch 2014

Tim Wood and Jeff MatthewsNearly 50 VTTA members and their partners gathered together for the Midlands Group Annual Awards Lunch. Alan Coburn, Assistant Group Recorder welcomed everyone by starting with a request, 'would anyone like to take over as Trophy Secretary? It's a fun position and you get to collect all the trophies and exhibit them in your house for a period of time before handing them over. Anyone interested, please see me or Andrew.' Now that Tim and Scott have joined the Committee, it has become much sought after!
